Songkran in thailand

I'm few weeks late as songkran was 2 weeks ago. Songkran is the Thai new year, also known as the water festival. People pour scented water over buddah statues to 'cleanse' the buddah, it is believed that doing this will bring you good luck. The fun side of songkran is the water guns. Everyone, everywhere in thailand has no problem dumping buckets of ice cold water( or squirting you with their gun) over your head and wiping powder on your face, while screaming happy new year thailand (often in amazingly broken english). They believe it brings you and themselves good luck.
curious what the toilets in thailand are like? check out my other blog

Water Guns come in all shapes and sizes. I had a space age hello kitty one.
